Required foundation
- The original review or an accurate, legible copy.
- A concise rebuttal based on direct knowledge or authentic records.
- A clear statement identifying what the records confirm and what an employee directly observed.
- Disclosure of material facts that cut against your position.
- Confirmation that the matter is not subject to a court seal, confidentiality order, or legal restriction.
Required attestations
Before submission, you must confirm that you are at least 18, are authorized to provide the material, have made reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, have removed unnecessary personal information, understand that the material may be edited and published, and will promptly report a material error.
Evidence we do not want
Do not send passwords, Social Security or tax numbers, driver’s licenses, financial-account or payment-card details, complete credit applications, medical information, private personnel files, intimate material, information identifying minors, or proprietary records unrelated to the dispute.
Fairness review
Before publication, Hater Rater may ask: Is each factual claim supported? Is the evidence relevant? Is context being used as context rather than proof? Has the opposing position been summarized fairly? Could additional redaction prevent unnecessary harm?
Publication is discretionary
Meeting these standards does not guarantee publication. Hater Rater may decline cases that cannot be adequately verified, anonymized, presented fairly, or moderated safely.
